We’re a matter of days away from the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 and while every gamer is eagerly anticipating getting their hands on the hardware, launch titles are still being announced.

While everyone is looking to the likes of Mario Kart World for their launch day gaming, there’s a cosy game that is going down a storm at the moment, and it will have a chance to shine on the new console.

It seems that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, which has just released for the OG Nintendo Switch, will be getting a paid upgrade path to enhance the game on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The cosy sim, which also features a good deal of battles, joins the likes of Mario Party Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and third-party titles like Hogwarts Legacy.

However, where those other games have a pretty pricey upgrade cost attached, Fantasy Life i will only cost a few quid to upgrade.

At only $2.59, players will be able to enjoy improved loading times, enhanced visuals, and better framerates.

These upgrades are going to be a big factor for the Nintendo Switch 2 with developers pushing out updated versions of their games, opening up new audiences.

So far, Fantasy Life i has been impressing fans, with the title sitting at a Metacritic score of 81.

It will be playable on Switch 2 without the upgrade, but players won’t benefit from the enhancements that will truly make the game shine.

Will players opt to grab this instead of the aforementioned Mario Kart World? It’s unlikely, but those who have bought the game and are jumping over to the Switch 2 will see a nice bump in quality for less than the price of a coffee, which is always a bonus.
