The Nintendo Switch 2 ... We know it’s coming. It’s all but guaranteed, but we know little more than that.

Nintendo has begun sharing information with third-party designers, developers, and publishers, so a prototype certainly exists, but we’re still in the dark.

It's still so odd to see SEGA games on Nintendo consoles.

However, a company called Satisfye, responsible for creating controller grips for consoles and Joy-Cons, has accidentally shared what looks like an image of the Nintendo Switch 2.

It was included in a trailer that has since been deleted and showed the console heavily shadowed.

Now, don’t get too excited, from what we can see in a tweet that captured the image, it looks just like a Nintendo Switch.

This is, in fact, exactly what a user said when it was reported on Reddit.

“It looks like..... Gasp… A Nintendo Switch,” said MadeByHideoForHideo.

Of course, the actual console could still look a bit different from what we see here.

Accessory companies will get dimensions and a rough idea of what the console will look like, but this could be tweaked or changed at any point.

I’d still say that what we’re seeing here is likely the Switch 2, though. Otherwise, why was the trailer deleted so quickly?

Another tweet shows a slightly better image, though still very blurry. And it still looks just like a Switch.

Nintendo aren’t going to want to deviate too far from the current design. The iconic hybrid console is owned by millions of players and does the job perfectly.

The company has been burned in the past when releasing a sequel console, confusing the market.

When the WiiU launched, many casual buyers didn’t realise it was a follow-up to the Wii and this is the famed reason as to why the console flopped.

Seeing this image of the Switch 2 shows that Nintendo isn’t straying too far from what worked before, and that’s fine with us.
