Nintendo has dropped the most adorable update ever, coming to the Nintendo Today! app, focusing on everyone’s favourite pink blob.

As announced during Friday’s Nintendo Direct, the company was intending to roll out an update to their companion app, Nintendo Today! which allow players to stay up-to-date on all Nintendo news.

Celebrating the recent release of the Switch 2 edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, as well as the upcoming Kirby AirRiders, users of the app can now make everything lush and cute with a Kirby overhaul.

This completely free update will deck out your app with the signature pink of Kirby, adding plenty of lovely artwork to compliment the theme.

The update was announced on Nintendo’s Twitter page, and notes it will be ready for everyone to use across Android and iOS devices.

There was also the small addition of adding British English to the language options, which can be easily activated in the settings.

The app was originally intended to keep players informed via an official channel, announcing new features for games, and updates to our favourite franchises.

Many fans have simply used the app as a way to stay connected with their favourite series, and never miss an announcement.

We can likely expect many more themes to drop for free on the app, as new Nintendo games emerge for the Switch and Switch 2.

Perhaps we’ll see a Pokémon theme next month when Pokémon Legends: Z-A releases, or a tactical theme when Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance drops in 2026.

Be sure to check your app is updated to the latest version if you want to bedeck your experience with our favourite pink glutton.

It’s worth checking your push notifications are also switched on, in order to receive the latest news directly from Nintendo as it becomes available.
