Animal Crossing, the beloved Nintendo franchise credited for helping millions of gamers get through the COVID pandemic is coming back.

Nintendo’s Animal Crossing series is over 20 years old with its first release arriving for the GameCube in 2001. Since that time, this charming life farm sim has endeared fans who are always looking forward to being scammed by Tom Nook, once more.

In 2017, the series went mobile with the release of the free-to-play title, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for Android and iOS. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp offered many of the features that have enticed players to the series after all these years but now fully playable on the go like never before.

However, with it being a mobile title, it was also very micro-transaction heavy, as is the common nature of that platform. That being said, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was still a fun game, which is why fans were disappointed when Nintendo announced in August this year that the game was shutting down.

Thankfully, as reported by Vooks.net, it’s not all bad news, because Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is on the way. Instead of being a free-to-play title, you can pick it up for a one-time purchase and this version of the game will feature no microtransactions.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will include all previously released content updates in a single download and you’ll also be able to transfer your data from the original game to carry on where you left off.

You can pre-register your interest in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete on your mobile platform of choice, so that you’re prepped for when it arrives.

As a side note, fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons may also be interested to know that if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion, you will get its DLC, Happy Home Paradise at no extra cost. Happy days!

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will launch on 3 December 2024.
