The next Legend of Zelda game may be coming a hell of a lot sooner than we originally assumed, based on details from a new leak.
Thanks to a leak from the Brazilian ratings board, we can now pretty much confirm that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be seeing a brand new The Legend of Zelda game in the next four months.
As spotted by the well-known leaker Necro Felipe, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo's upcoming title Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be dropping at some point in 2025, as specified in official ratings info.
We honestly haven’t heard much regarding Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment since it was first revealed back in April, so it is a bit of a surprise that this one is already so close to release.

That being said, the reveal trailer did specify that it would drop “this winter”, it’s just that most of us assumed that meant it would drop at the start of 2026.
It does make a lot of sense to see it drop in late 2025 though, as a new Zelda title will definitely help shift a few more Nintendo Switch 2s.
Over on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, most users are either hyped, or theorising that this implies that another Nintendo Direct presentation is on its way.
“Yeah that direct is happening soon”, commented user Aftermoonic.

“I unironically like Age of Calamity more than BotW and TotK and I am very hyped for this, especially for Switch 2 hopefully keeping its performance stable”, replied user niles_deerqueer.
“I want to know a lot more details about this game. I’m assuming it comes out in November.”
Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re right about a Nintendo Direct, to be honest. The Nintendo Switch 2 is doing ridiculously well, and Nintendo are probably riding high off the back of the success of Donkey Kong Bananza at the moment.
Keep a look out for an announcement at some point in the next week.
