Pokémon trainers really can’t sleep on these ace rewards, only offered to those who’ve proven their mastery over all Pokémon.

The Nintendo Switch, and by extension the Nintendo Switch 2, has a lot of Pokémon games. You’ve got your mainline titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, spin-offs like Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Eevee!, and freebies like Pokémon Champions.

All Pokémon games currently available on the Nintendo Switch have interactivity with Pokémon HOME, and there are free rewards in the form of shiny Pokémon for trainers who complete each and every pokédex whilst connected to HOME’s digital database.

Below you’ll find all current pokédex completion rewards, and how to claim them at the bottom of the article.

Pokémon Sword and Shield

Kicking off with the earliest Nintendo Switch Pokémon games, Pokémon Sword and Shield. will grant you a Shiny Keldeo for completing three pokédexes.

These include the Galar pokédex which comes with the base game, in addition to the Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra pokédexes, both of which are offered as separate DLC expansions.

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!

The Pokémon Let’s Go games were a charming deviation from the series’ norm, and a great way to remake Gen I.

Players who complete the pokédex found in either Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Let's Go, Eevee! will be able to add a Shiny Meltan to their collection.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is one of the easiest pokédexes to complete as all the Pokémon needed can be found in its open-world. No trading needed.

After grabbing every Pokémon in the game, you’ll be rewarded with a Shiny Enamorus via Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

Those who drag themselves through Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have a Shiny Manaphy waiting for them on the other side, but unlike Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you’ll need to do a lot of trading to secure this one.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Like Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have three pokédexes to fill out before they can claim their freebie.

You’ll need to complete the base game’s Paldea pokédex as well as the Kitakami and Blueberry Academy pokédexes, acquired through the DLC expansions. Do this and you’ll be able to claim a Shiny Meloetta.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

That brings us to the most recent Pokémon game to date, Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Unfortunately, this is another reward that requires three pokédex completions to claim.

In order to add a Shiny Volcanion to your team, you’ll need to complete the Lumiose pokédex, Mega Evolution pokédex, and Hyperspace pokédex, the latter of which is locked behind the Mega-Dimension DLC.

How To Claim Your Pokémon When You’ve Completed The pokédexes

After all of that work, you’ll probably be hoping for a simple method of collection; fortunately, that’s what you’ll get.

Once you’ve completed any of the above games’ pokédexes simply head over to Pokémon Home and ensure the Nintendo account you used to play the games is connected.

Then simply find the game you’re looking for, and provided you’ve really caught ‘em all, there’ll be a red exclamation point. Simply click that and head over to Mystery Gifts and your free, shiny Pokémon will be ready for collection.
