The Nintendo Direct showcase is currently in full swing and now that we have got past the Mario 40th Anniversary segment, we can get into some other exciting releases coming to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
At long last, our next Nintendo Direct event is finally here and with 60-minutes of game announcements, we are guaranteed to get some bangers.
For example, we already know that a brand-new Mario-inspired movie is set to hit cinemas next spring and that Super Mario Galaxy is making a comeback.
Not only that but for fans of Animal Crossing and Minecraft, this upcoming release is guaranteed to satiate your need for more simulation games.

First released back in 2022 on PC but now arriving on the Nintendo Switch, Dinkum is a survival life simulation title set on an island inspired by the rugged Australian outback.
In typical survival sim fashion, players will need to farm, hunt, mine, fish, and forage in order to make resources, expand their town and get to know the locals.
Featuring both single-player and co-op gameplay, Dinkum is perfect for those who want to try out an Animal Crossing-style game but in a whole different setting.
“Plant crops, raise animals, and build your dream farm, or roam the island catching fish and bugs at your own pace,” the official description reads.

“With changing seasons and weather affecting how your crops grow, every day brings a new challenge. Slip on your flip-flops to hunt for rare fish, bugs, or ores. Every moment becomes a special adventure.”
From expansive deserts to lush forests and hidden minds, there will be many diverse locations to discover but with wild animals at every turn, Dinkum is the true Australian experience.
Build your town your own way, explore and survive the world with friends and most importantly, grow together with the locals as you visit friends, check out the local shops and even take part in festivals as the seasons change.
Dinkum is now heading to the Nintendo Switch after finding success on Steam with over 1.4m copies sold.

"As a massive Nintendo fan, having my own game on a Nintendo console has been a lifelong dream for me," solo developer James Bendon said in a press release.
"I feel that Dinkum is a good fit for Nintendo Switch players, and it's been the most requested console from players who have been waiting a long time to play Dinkum. I am certain that launching on the Switch will bring a lot of new players to Dinkum."
Dinkum launches on the Nintendo Switch and will also be playable on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 6 November and a free demo can also be played right now via the Nintendo eShop.
