Difficult though it may be, Mass Effect fans are trying to keep their expectations in check for Mass Effect 5.

With N7 Day looming, it’s easy for BioWare fans to get carried away in their predictions over what will be revealed.

Although we’d all love to get a trailer for the next game, we know that’s highly unlikely to happen.

Even more so since BioWare took to social media to remind us that it’s still dealing with Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s launch, so N7 Day won’t reveal anything too dramatic.

Divisive though the new Dragon Age has been, those that love it are glad that BioWare has chosen to focus its efforts there first.

Others, however, are now scared about Mass Effect 5.

Both agree that they want some kind of crumb to let them know what to expect from the next Mass Effect experience, though.

“Just give me a tiny bit of crumbs for ME5 and I’ll be okay… I don’t even need the full cookie. Just a crumb,” posted @ResonantJustice.

We hope everyone is enjoying their time in #DragonAge: The Veilguard. It’s only a few days until #N7Day and this year will be quieter because of launch. Be sure to check back then for a little fun, though!

Fellow fan @IAmFantasyScifi said, “Called it. But I’m happy for you guys on the launch! DAV is fantastic. Can’t wait for ME5.”

In truth, while N7 Day is always exciting for Mass Effect players, it’s never been an event that gives much away.

As Redditor tyehyll pointed out, “N7 day has pretty much never been more than a Facebook post anyways.”

Speaking as someone who loves the new Dragon age, remarking on it being “a triumph”, even if N7 Day is a bland one this year, ME5 is in good hands.

Nonetheless, I too would like to see something more revealed.

Our expectations may not be high for this N7 Day, but we still have faith in the next ME instalment, even if it’s years away from release yet.
