Wolverine is all the rage these days, especially after his legendary role in Deadpool & Wolverine, so fans will be excited to hear he’s making another comeback.

I use the term comeback loosely as it’s not like he’s ever truly gone anywhere, beautifully put by the merc-with-a-mouth himself who describes Logan as not just an X-Man, but THE X-Man in the latest film.

If you haven’t seen Deadpool & Wolverine yet, you absolutely should

So with that being said it’s no wonder why he’s getting yet another series where he can show off his beautifully R-rated skillset once again.

Wolverine: Revenge by Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo will drop later this month, the first issue that is.

Speaking about the new series, Marvel said it aims to provide "eevated violence you won't see anywhere else!"

Capullo also shared a few words about the series, saying "I've finally returned home to Marvel and I'm ready to raise some Hell … and, who better to do that with than the Hitman Hickman? To celebrate, Marvel has removed the fences and let us off our leash so that we can bring the most vicious and punishing Wolverine story possible to the fans this summer. I hope they're prepared."

The plot will see Wolverine head to Savage Land, a fitting location for the beastly superhero, where he’ll go head-to-head with a terrifying monster, as well as a few dinosaurs because why not?

It’s a good year for X-Men fans, with this new comic series, Deadpool & Wolverine kicking off the Mutant saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and news on the next few seasons of the X-Men ‘97 animated series all delivering the goods.

Let’s hope Wolverine: Revenge delivers a similar level of storytelling, along with the plenty of gory fight scenes the legendary combatant is best-known for, after all he is the best at what he does…
