The magic of Hogwarts Legacy isn’t over just because you finished the game. In fact, there are still many secrets to uncover.

After 150 hours of play time, one Hogwarts Legacy fan has discovered a hidden creature that we’re certain Hagrid would love.

Having ventured into the heart of Hogwarts to unlock hidden rooms some players have missed, we’re moving outside into the grounds of the vast estate.

This may be a creature you’ve already seen during your semester at Hogwarts, in which case, you may prefer to read about a surprise November update that’s on the way.

Reddit user PrimPygmyPuff made the discovery by the lake after “150+ hours” exploring the game.

“The giant squid finally decided to grace me with its presence,” the Ravenclaw student shared, accompanied by a picture of the creature.

While satisfied with their find, the OP is hoping to “see the dragon next”.

Turns out, there are more ways to spot the squid than by visiting the lake at the right time – you can coax it out by making it angry.

“The first time I saw the squid was in the Slytherin common room. Literally. It sailed right on through,” revealed BookMingler, a fellow Ravenclaw.

To this the OP responded, “Oh yeah, when you spam basic cast at the Slytherin common room windows, the giant squid will retaliate by slamming the window back.”

Personally, we prefer a leisurely stroll by the lake and chance encounters rather than antagonising the massive creature, but you do you.

But what of the creatures in the Warner Bros Hogwarts Legacy sequel, will they be just as tricky to find?

It’s difficult to say. However, while none of us have a crystal ball to see into the future, Harry Potter fans are united over potential new gameplay additions.

The wizarding world is an expansive one, and as such, there are plenty of exciting features that can be added to the next game.

That being said, this also means we could spend hundreds of hours searching for hidden creatures years down the line.
