Fallout fans, you’re in for quite the treat with this latest expansion.

Not all Fallout content is made equally. Although there’s been plenty of occasions when a new expansion has ticked all the right boxes, there’s also been ones that were disappointing.

Even without playing this upcoming additional content, we can say with almost certainty it’s going to be loved by all.

Fallout 76: Milepost Zero is here. Check it out below

Fans have also lost it after seeing this surprise update announcement, it's that exciting.

We’re finally getting pets.

Fallout 76 players will be able to bring home their very own Camp pets to help make everything feel a touch more homely.

This news was first announced at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show, and was then shared on Twitter by the official Fallout account.

Unsurprisingly, Bethesda fans can’t wait to adopt a cute and cuddly companion to call their very own. The Wasteland is a bleak and often cruel experience, so we need something to keep fighting for.

In Mulan, it was a girl. For Fallout 76 users, it’s a pet.

“Nice! Wonder if that’s a step closer to companions too. Either way, totally awesome,” posted Adam Masnyk after seeing the announcement.

“Now I can have pets in my camp overlooking the beautiful Appalachia view. Great addition to Fallout 76!” commented 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐢.

It warms the heart to see (most of the) fans happy about this new expansion.

As you’ll witness for yourselves in the Twitter announcement, only a cat features, which has led fans to question if other animals will become available too.

The obvious choice is a dog, though some have said they’d like a “baby Deathclaw”.

We’re not sure if that would be a good idea. But who knows, it could end up being a cute albeit deadly addition to your camp.

There’s no launch date for this new content just yet; all we know is that it’s coming “later this year”.
