Bloodborne free download adds terrifying new boss you've never seen before

A new mod for Bloodborne lets you fight a horrifying creature you might have already seen on your travels through Yharnam.

As much as I adore the Dark Souls games, and will praise Elden Ring until the end of days, I personally believe Bloodborne is FromSoftware’s best game, and mods simply make it better.

Take a look at the horrifying world of Bloodborne below

I think one of the main reasons I love Bloodborne so much is how simple it was to navigate, and while some may dislike its linearity in favour of Elden Ring’s enormous open world, I think it adds a lot of replay value to the game.

That being said, those who think they know the game inside and out may be interested in a mod that adds a new boss encounter to the game, and it’s a beast you’ll likely have already met on your travels through the game.

It’s called the Great One Beast, a planned boss that unfortunately never made it into the game, but can still be found in the Chalice Dungeons.

The mod makes this fight actually playable, and while it’s missing a few key animations and other details that were just never finished, it does provide us with a bit of insight into what the finished encounter may have been like.

Honestly the dream scenario would be FromSoftware finally having permission from Sony to remake the game for the PlayStation 5, potentially opening the door to some bonus boss fights that weren’t in the original game.

Word on the street says there is something Bloodborne-related in the works for the PS5, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet so take this with a pinch of salt.

With the amount of PlayStation 4 titles being ported, remastered or remade for Sony’s new-gen console, which will soon get an upgrade with the PS5 Pro, it’d be a no brainer to finally revive Bloodborne, and port it to PC.
