Assassin's Creed fans lose it over our first look at modern-day Assassins

We need a full game like this

Assassin’s Creed fans have seen what a modern-day Assassin could look like, and they want more of it.

While the games have deteriorated in quality a bit over the years I don’t think we can ever say that the assassins in Assassin’s Creed aren’t really cool.

It’s like Batman, he’s super cool and you think you’d like to see him in action until you’re one of the thugs in the room watching your friends get picked off one by one.

That said, we've never really seen what a modern-day assassin can do with all the technology we have today, but we have seen tiny glimpses of what it could be like.

Ubisoft has given us a taste of modern-day assassins through the Watch Dogs series, and more recently the soon-to-be terminated XDefiant.

Fans have been intrigued by their appearances, like on on Reddit who praised the designs saying: “In lore I imagine they only wear these when they’re actively infiltrating an enemy space and not so much day to day blending into crowds.”

Other fans are a bit harder to please, believing while they’ve looked cool in modern-day settings Ubisoft is yet to 100% nail what they could look and act like.

“They’re a bit too exaggerated for me. It looks cool separate in a crossover event, but if the characters wore these in an actual AC game it’d feel too over the top personally. Even besides the obvious that this does not blend in at all” said one fan.

“Looks nice but they basically can't blend in the crowd” added another, and others suggested a better look would be something like Desmond who wore a white hoodie to blend in.

While it seems Ubisoft has no plans for a modern-day Assassin’s Creed game, you can’t deny the concept is interesting and it’d be great to see one, one day.
