Overwatch 2 set to remove more characters after Mei

Blizzard could soon remove Overwatch 2's Brigitte and Kiriko due to a bug that makes Brigitte's shield invincible.

Last month, Blizzard released the highly-anticipated Overwatch 2. I’ll admit, it’s something I’m new to and have spent the last month trying to get to grips with the game’s endless supply of heroes. I’m not alone in my struggle. A recent GAMINGbible Overwatch 2 session left a lot to be desired by which I mean, it’s a miracle we nabbed two wins.

Anyway, Blizzard has been addressing a number of bugs in the game since release and just yesterday, Mei was removed. An issue with her ice wall allowed heroes to reach “unintended locations.” Mei’s not the only character to temporarily disappear though. Brigitte and Kiriko could soon be joining her.

Check out the trailer for Overwatch 2 below.

As reported by PCGamesN, players can give Brigitte an invincible shield with the help of new hero Kiriko. The problem is, that shouldn’t be possible. When broken, Bridgitte’s shield has a five second recharge time during which it stays at one HP. If players use Kiriko’s ultimate ability to reduce Brigitte’s cooldown before the shield starts regenerating, it will come back quicker and it’ll be invincible.

Clearly, this offers players an unfair advantage so many are assuming that Brigitte and Kiriko will be the next characters to be taken to Blizzard’s house of repairs. Blizzard is yet to actually comment on the bug, but they certainly have their hands full ironing out all of Overwatch 2’s creases.

It hasn’t been the smoothest ride for Overwatch 2. Many fans have been disabling the game’s toxic chat, plus players are also facing lengthy match queues simply because nobody wants to play support. I’m not even going to delve into the rise in popularity of Overwatch porn. That’s a can of worms we do not need to open.
