Just a few weeks ago, Obi-Wan Kenobi drew to a close but that doesn’t mean that fans aren’t already desperate for another season. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen are both onboard with the idea but it’s yet to receive the greenlight from Disney and Lucasfilm. Rather excitingly, the three-episode premiere of Star Wars: Andor is on the way but it turns out, that’s not the only Star Wars project on the horizon as Disney+ have just announced the imminent release of Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return.

Check out the trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return below.

That’s right. There’s more Obi-Wan content on the way for you. Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return is a one-off special behind-the-scenes look into the making of Obi-Wan Kenobi. What’s even better is that fans don’t need to wait very long at all as A Jedi’s Return is set to be released on Disney+ day, which falls on 8 September.

The documentary is set to feature brand new footage from behind-the-scenes of the prequel trilogy, in addition to Obi-Wan Kenobi - charting the full journey of Obi-Wan and Anakin. The on-set clips will be accompanied by interviews with the show’s cast and creatives including director Deborah Chow and Reva actress Moses Ingram.

It’s not the first Star Wars documentary to hit Disney+ as we’ve already had the delightful Disney Gallery and Light & Magic, both of which are excellent, so we should expect Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return to be equally as good. What lovely news to start the week.
