A new PlayStation State Of Play is upon us, and it seems like a new Metro game will be featured as part of the line-up.

PlayStation fans wanting to know more about what’s coming to the PS5 this year and the next will be excited to learn a State Of Play is scheduled to premiere tomorrow, 31 January. The show will last for around 40 minutes and shed some light on over 15 games, like Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin.

Take a look at Rise of the Ronin below.

While some are hoping to see more of the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, or Phantom Blade Zero, Metro fans believe a new game might be on the horizon, and it sounds incredibly exciting.

Speculation suggests a new game called Metro: Awakening will be unveiled alongside the line-up, and it’s said to be a VR game.

Obviously take this with a grain of salt but if it’s true it’ll make a great exclusive to PlayStation’s VR library. The Metro series takes players to a post-apocalyptic hellscape that treads a thin line between first-person shooter and survival horror. They can get pretty spooky so making a VR game that places you even closer to the action is seemingly a no brainer.

So with that in mind, fans will just have to hope and pray that it’s on the cards for tomorrow’s showcase. That being said, even if it isn't, the State Of Play is promising some huge announcements so with any luck everyone will come away feeling happy and optimistic about games coming this year.

The upcoming PlayStation State Of Play will premiere tomorrow, 31 January at 10pm GMT. It’ll be live streamed on Twitch, YouTube and TikTok - or, of course, you can return here where we'll be covering all of the night's biggest headlines.
