Naraka: Bladepoint getting new mech-riding hero, among other things

Here comes Trouble

NetEase has revealed a wide array of new content coming to Naraka: Bladepoint, starting with a new mech-riding hero named Feria Shen. The new character’s ultimate ability summons her machine ally, Trouble, armed with a pair of devastating Swarm launchers.

See the trailer for the new hero below

Feria Shen will be available in Naraka: Bladepoint from 22 December, but that’s not all that’s coming to the battle royale title. In addition, there’s also the new pole staff weapon, inspired by Guan Yu, the Chinese God of War (no relation to that God of War).

The heavy weapon will come to the game in February 2023 and its legendary Souljade can summon Red Hare, the mythic steed, adding a bit more spice to the battle.

Naraka: Bladepoint is set to release for Xbox One on 22 December — the same day that Feria Shen joins the fray - and will come to Game Pass just like the Series X|S version.

The game’s PvE mode is also getting an expansion, with ‘SHOWDOWN Chapter III’ arriving in January 2023. If you like the look of Naraka: Bladepoint but aren’t down with competitive multiplayer, then this could be the mode for you.

Perhaps the biggest news of all is Naraka: Bladepoint’s upcoming Nier crossover, which will add exclusive new content to the battle royale, which you can read more about here.

The news comes just before the finals of the game’s World Championships 2022, where Naraka: Bladepoint players from around the world are competing in Singapore for a prize pool of $1.5 million. Could buy a lot of Nier cosmetics with that.
