Naraka: Bladepoint, the up to 60-player PVP battle royale game, will be coming to Singapore for its World Championships 2022 tournament, complete with a $1.5 million prize pool.

24 Entertainment, the developer behind the martial-arts-inspired melee combat title, officially announced the upcoming contest. Group stage matches will take place from 2 December through to the 6th, with the finals running from 15-18 of the same month.

New to Naraka: Bladepoint? See the trailer here.

The Naraka: Bladepoint World Championships (NBWC) 2022 will see 24 teams from around the world go head-to-head, with 12 from the China mainland Pro League and a dozen from the SEA/AS/VN/NA/EU server.

According to the event’s official press release, “The NBWC will adopt a unique points system that favours its most heroic players. Each kill will earn them points, which are then multiplied at the end of a match, based on their team’s placement.”

For those who can’t make the journey to Singapore, the Naraka: Bladepoint World Championships will be available to watch via the game’s official Twitch and Facebook accounts.

24 Entertainment has also teased “further announcements to come,” with many fans anticipating a release date announcement for when the game will come to PlayStation 5. Naraka: Bladepoint is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X|S (included in Game Pass), with a PS5 version on the way, so this isn’t too grand an assumption.

If you want to know more about the battle royale title, 24 Entertainment has released this documentary about the game, giving a look at some of the people who work on it. It’s well worth a watch.
