Microsoft and Mojang has announced details on the next big Minecraft update and all the features coming to version 1.21, and it’s a big one.

Minecraft updates several times a year and introduces new items, mobs, and ways to play. This update is no different but it feels like the biggest we’ve seen since the ‘Caves and Cliffs’ update which drastically changed world generation.

Minecraft loves its updates and crossovers giving players even more to play with

This update is titled ‘Tricky Trials’ primarily because there is a new way to play and that’s in creating and playing through trails that spawn more enemies and offer new loot and treasure for completing them.

These trails are based on the new block, the trial spawner which can be placed and programmed to spawn waves of mobs, keeping the challenge high and the rewards worthwhile.

Elsewhere in the update, you’ll find two new enemy mobs; the Breeze which looks like a small tornado and is the overworld version of a Blaze, and the other mob is a new skeleton variant called a Bogged which fires poison arrows.

You’ll finally get your hands on the new redstone-powered auto crafter which will speed up your item and weapon creation, and you can use it to craft the new tuft stonework fixtures, plus the copper light source and decorative blocks.

You can even try out the new mace weapon which attacks in a downward motion, perfect for those jumping critical attacks.

There’s so much in this update and let’s not forget that Mojang recently rolled out the new armadillo mob, plus the variants of wolves that give them a whole new look.

Minecraft never stops growing with new blocks and mobs constantly being added to the legendary game. There’s no word on the release date for the Tricky Trials update, but you should expect it soon.
