Remedy Entertainment has unveiled a brand new surprise Max Payne release, and it’s got fans hyped.
We haven’t had a new Max Payne game since 2012, but fans haven’t lost hope about seeing the titular police detective again.
While Max Payne 4 hasn’t been confirmed at all, we’re at least getting remakes of the first two games made in a collaboration between Remedy and Rockstar Games.
To keep us waiting until that time, however, Remedy has revealed some new merchandise to celebrate the company’s 30 year anniversary.

Over on iam8bit, you can now pre-order a low-resolution button up shirt inspired by Max’s clothing from the original games. The shirt doesn't have an estimated ship date, but iam8bit does guarantee that it will ship before the holidays.
“Max Payne was a landmark release, and we at iam8bit just knew it had to be part of Remedy’s 30th Anniversary Celebration,” reads the official product description. “We also knew it needed to be just as stylish and unique as one of Max’s iconic action dives.”

Max Payne fans are loving it, of course, particularly enjoying the throwback to Remedy’s early days.
“Dang, might have to pick one up! That looks kinda cool,” reads one comment on the Max Payne Reddit page.
“That's some snazzy low-res drip,” another reply reads. “I think it is so cool that this is even a thing. The fact that someone approved this gives me faith that the creative process is still alive in some circles.”
“I can't even tell it's pixelated from the second screenshot. That's just how good it looks,” a third comment reads.

The shirt is part of the Remedy 30th Anniversary Celebration, which also includes a pyjama set based on the Ashtray Maze from Control, an Oh Deer Diner Coffee Thermos from Alan Wake 2, and a Night Springs VHS release that actually works in a VHS player.
If you're a keen Remedyverse fan, it's well worth checking out the full collection.
