It is an exciting week indeed as the highly-anticipated Marvel Rivals is set to launch and to celebrate, Twitch is teaming up with NetEase to give out some free items.

This Friday sees the long-awaited release of Marvel Rivals as NetEase and Marvel Games come together to bring us a free-to-play hero shooter featuring all of our favourite superheroes.

Moon Knight will also be on the roster in the upcoming Marvel Rivals. Check him out in action below!

From Scarlet Witch to Winter Soldier and Wolverine to the Hulk, 33 heroes will be playable from launch in this team-based PvP shooter set in the Marvel Universe.

As with many big game releases, the streaming platform Twitch will want to get involved by supporting streamers who will be showing off Marvel Rivals to their viewers.

That is why it has teamed up with the developers to bring us a series of Twitch drop events and the first one kicks off on 6 December to coincide with the game’s launch.

On Friday, tuning into any streamer in the Marvel Rivals category will see you bag yourself some free in-game items depending on how long you stay tuned in.

The first batch of items runs from 6 December to 31 December and rewards the following:

  • 30 minutes watched: Magneto “Will of Galactica” Spray
  • One hour watched: Magneto “Will of Galactica” Nameplate
  • Two hours watched: Magneto “Cosmic Collapse” Emote
  • Four hours watched: Magneto “Will of Galactica” Costume

Additionally, tuning into a select stream for one hour between 20 December and 29 will see you earn the “Winter Stockings” spray.

As this event is focused solely on Magneto, we can expect Twitch drops to continue in the future and celebrate the other 32 characters on the roster.

However, this has not yet been confirmed.

With positive reviews already under its belt thanks to special early-access, Marvel Rivals is shaping up to be a strong contender in the team-based PvP shooter genre.
