Lady Dimitrescu Could Show Up In Netflix's Resident Evil Series, Here's How

"If we wanted to now put a giant vampire woman in Season 2, we can."

Netflix recently announced that the TV series based on the Resident Evil franchise is finished and dropping onto the streaming service on 14 July.

Alongside the announcement, the platform dropped the first trailer, which has received a few mixed opinions. We didn’t learn a lot from the trailer, but what we do know is that the series revolves around the story of Jade Wesker, daughter of franchise antagonist Albert Wesker. However, since fans learnt about the show they’ve been speculating just who from the games might show up.

Catch a look at the new Resident Evil trailer below and see what you think for yourself.

People are, of course, asking for everyone’s favourite vampire dommy, mommy, Lady Dimitrescu. She’s been a fan favourite with players ever since she was first revealed for the latest in the franchise, Resident Evil Village.

As reported by GameSpot, Netflix showrunner Andrew Dabb had a lot to share about adding fan favourite characters into the show. The series will take place just one year after the end of Village and explained how everything that has happened in the games make up the backstory for the series.

"They don't cross-over, obviously, because they're happening so far apart. But certainly now, Village is part of our lore. If we wanted to now put a giant vampire woman in Season 2, we can."

However, Dabb also explained that he is skeptical about adding characters just for the sake of adding them.

"What I don't want to do is chase a trend because the production cycles on these things are so long - if this show is successful, as we know from every other streaming show in existence, we are probably 18 months at best away from getting a Season 2. 18 months from now, I could be sitting here like, we've gotta find a tall person to play this vampire lady, let's do this, and we could be on set shooting and then I look on Twitter and see, oh they just released a new Village expansion and the best character is someone else, and we hate the tall vampire lady now."

I don’t know if the fan base will ever turn on our Lady, she wasn’t exactly all that nice to begin with, but you keep that second season dream going my friend.
