Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has confirmed that Constantine 2 talks are underway with DC and Warner Bros, which will no doubt please his legion of fans.
Released in 2005, Constantine became a cult hit with fans of the DC comic book adaptation. It also divided the opinion of its audience and critics alike. For example, on Rotten Tomatoes, Constantine scored just 46% from critics, but a vastly improved score of 76% from the audience.
Finally, fans of the movie got the news that they had been waiting nearly two decades for as Constantine 2 was confirmed with Keanu Reeves reprising his role. Happy days. That’s not to say that it's not been plain sailing with fans concerned that the sequel might be cancelled as part of James Gunn's big DC shakeup. Thankfully, back in February 2022, Warner Bros confirmed that the movie is still happening.

However, fans have gotten a new update which should help ease any lingering concerns. As reported by Game Rant, during a Reddit AMA, Keanu Reeves confirmed that Constantine 2 talks are still underway. When a fan asked Reeves, “Have you spoken with James Gunn at all in regards to Constantine 2? Hope we get to see it,” the actor simply replied, “Yes, and me too.”
At this time, we do not have a release date for Constantine 2, but it’s nice to know that the sequel is still happening. In related Keanu news, during the same AMA, the actor revealed to a fan that he always wanted to play the role of Wolverine in the MCU.
In the meantime, while we wait for Constantine 2, Keanu Reeves will return to the big screen with John Wick: Chapter 4 releasing in cinemas on 24 March 2023, and the film is already being described as one of the greatest action movies ever made.
