Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the best games ever released on the PS4, and the follow up Spider-Man Miles Morales gave fans exactly what they wanted; more from their favourite web slinging hero. Luckily that's what everyone got. As part of PlayStation's September 2021 showcase, Sony revealed that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was in the works with a short cinematic trailer and a vague 2023 release window.

If you are a fan who didn't get the chance to play Miles Morales you can check out some gameplay in the video below.

The trailer features both Spider-men; Peter Parker and Miles Morales, fighting crime side by side. Right at the end there was a sneak peek of popular Spidey-looking bad boy Venom to boot. While the announcement was mostly meant to tell fans that 'this thing is going to happen' it didn't stop superhero super fans from wanting more.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been any news since. This is likely because the game is still in early development, without much prepared with the polish necessary to show off to players. That doesn't stop them from asking though. The internet and social media have made developers ever open to input from the players, and we're sure Insomniac is not short of demands to know more.

Following a tweet from the developers yesterday, 16 February, featuring only a sandwich emoji, one of these requests came. The fan tweeted with a simple "Give us some update about Spider-Man 2" followed by the "Face with look of triumph" emoji. In an unusual turn of events Insomniac actually responded, though it was likely not the response they were hoping for.

It's being made.
