If you’re into open-world RPGs such as Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then you might want to check this new game out.

There’s nothing quite like being immersed in a fantastic RPG world that entices player exploration and discovery. It’s why we not only love the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3 but also games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and the classic that is Skyrim.

Check out the Eternal Strands trailer below!

One such game as brought to our attention by DSOGaming, is the new open-world RPG developed and published by the indie studio, Yellow Brick Games called Eternal Strands and best of all, you can play its free demo right now via Steam.

“Play as Brynn, a young but fearless Weaver, determined to recover her people’s cultural home in the debut fantasy action-adventure title from Yellow Brick Games, a new independent studio founded by industry veterans,” reads the description of the game on the Steam store.

“Armed with powerful magical abilities and an arsenal of magical weapons, face enemies that range from humanoid constructs to towering beasts,” it continues. “Use the environment and temperature to your advantage in battles against a diverse roster of fantastical creatures, like turning a dragon’s fiery breath against ice-covered minions.”

Judging by its gameplay trailer, it looks like Eternal Strands could be a lot of fun and the best way to find out for sure is by downloading the aforementioned free playable demo.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Eternal Strands is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, at the time of writing, only the Steam store has the free playable demo.

Eternal Strands will be released later this month on 28 January 2025. Oh, it’s also launching on Xbox Game Pass, which is always a nice bonus.
