Hogwarts Legacy 2: Harry Potter fans find perfect title for sequel

Harry Potter fans have seemingly found the perfect name for Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Hogwarts Legacy may have only been released in February this year, but fans have already been conjuring what they would like to see in a potential sequel from the developers, Avalanche Software.

Just a few weeks after launch, the developers had all but confirmed that a sequel will happen and rumours were afoot that any potential sequel would be making some big changes.

Fans on Reddit have been discussing the extreme likelihood that we’ll get Hogwarts Legacy 2, and potential names for the sequel have been the topic of discussion on a thread.

“What are your predictions for the name of the sequel? Hogwarts _______,” asked WeezyWally. “It would be fun to get some predictions and find the winner in 4-5 years. I promise I will gift them a copy of the future game. One guess per person. Let’s go!”

To no surprise whatsoever, there was no shortage of suggestions. However, just by taking a glance at the thread, most of the suggestions were very much tongue-in-cheek, but also quite brilliant.

“2 Hogwarts 2 Furious,” suggested RarcusMashfordMBE. Though I have doubts about this person's MBE credentials. “Hogwarts Legacy Rising: Revengeance,” said space_cowboy80 referencing the Metal Gear Solid spin-off title from PlatinumGames starring part-man, part-cyborg, Raiden.

“Hogwarts Tears of the Wild,” added _kwrld, poking fun at The Legend of Zelda series. “Hogwarts Legacy: Online,” suggested a pessimistic DirectStreamDVR, perhaps fearing that the sequel will be flooded with egregious microtransactions.

We have no doubts that Hogwarts Legacy will be getting a sequel, especially as the game is now making more money than most of the Harry Potter movies. That being said, if/when the sequel does arrive, a Switch port is looking less likely following yet another delay on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
