Harry Potter fans rejoice, because we're finally getting some new DLC for Hogwarts Legacy more than one year after the game launched.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most popular games of the last few years. Not only has it sold roughly a gazillion copies, but it's already generating sequel discussions. Now, as the Harry Potter RPG edges towards its first anniversary, there's some shiny new DLC to look forward to.

Well, we say "new" - it'll be new to a lot of gamers, though a chunk of Hogwarts Legacy players will already be familiar with the DLC. When the game released last year, it did so with a PlayStation-exclusive quest called Haunted Hogsmede. However, this was only ever a timed exclusive, meaning the fan-favourite quest will officially be available to Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch gamers from 10 February.

Of course if you've already played Haunted Hogsmede on PlayStation, the good news is that 2024 will see even more updates, which should include even more new content.

"As we near the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game," the developer wrote in a post on Twitter at the end of last month. "Stay tuned in the coming months for more details on what’s coming to Hogwarts Legacy this year."

It remains to be seen what these new features will be, but given the ongoing popularity of Hogwarts Legacy we'd be amazed if there wasn't some kind of substantial paid expansion on the cards. After all, Harry Potter fans need something to keep themselves tided over until the sequel launches - whenever that may be.
