It’s officially October which means that Hogwarts Legacy should be launching on Nintendo Switch next month, on 14 November to be exact.

Fans aren’t convinced that it’ll actually happen. It’s been a long while since we heard of any news regarding the Switch port. We know that Hogwarts Legacy underwent vast simplifications to run on Xbox One and PlayStation. External castle bridges were transformed into dull internal corridors, while leaving and entering buildings forced the introduction of loading screens. You can’t blame many for questioning just how the game will run on Switch then. It’s also suspicious that it didn’t appear during the latest Nintendo Direct, which focused on games releasing this Winter. One game that we do know is definitely on the way though is Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions but fans are divided after gameplay footage leaked online.

Enjoy a tour of Hogwarts’ four house common rooms below.

What exactly do we know about Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions? It’s a standalone experience developed by Unbroken Studios. According to the official FAQ, Unbroken have been beavering away on the game for several years, with playtests now currently underway. There’s no release date, but we do know that Quidditch Champions is coming to PC and consoles.

With those playtests underway, some gameplay footage has found its way online. It’s since been taken down but not before fans could give their opinions on it. “It looks fast paced. I like it,” said one optimistic fan, while another added, “Looks fun. Reminds me a lot of Rocket League.” Crushmedavid commented, “Looks decent. I’d have expected worse. I don’t know if I'd pay for it though. Maybe if it’s free-to-play.”

On the other end of the spectrum, OGBladeRunner said, “I can already smell the microtransactions,” plus FinalChargerSRT392 added, “Looks a bit boring to me.” Well, it sounds as if it’s not for everyone but it could make for a quick dose of silly fun with friends. We’ll be keeping an eye out on further developments.
