Halo: Campaign Evolved drops free DLC with no strings attached

You can claim free DLC right now for the Halo: Combat Evolved remake that launched this week with no strings attached.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, which became available to all those who pre-ordered the Premium Edition, and judging by its early reception, it’s looking like it could be a hit for Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries).
The remake features the typical improvements in visuals and gameplay tweaks, as well as three new prequel missions, redesigned levels, gameplay modifiers, and more. We’ll just have to wait and see if Halo: Campaign Evolved gets the legendary Xbox series back on track in the coming weeks.

Right now, you can claim free cosmetic DLC for Halo: Campaign Evolved, and even more freebies are on the way. The free DLC that you can claim right now is the Sandstone Ancient armour, which has an eye-catching blend of orange and grey. PlayStation 5 users will need to link their Xbox accounts to use the free skin.

To claim the free armour, all you need to do is redeem the following code on your PC, Xbox console, or via the Microsoft website. The code is: L563-J46G-PZN1-SBF2-AXN6.

However, there is even more DLC on the way for Halo: Campaign Evolved, and if the likes of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo Infinite are anything to go by, hopefully, we’ll have plenty more juicy content in the months ahead.
While details on how to claim the following free armour haven't been revealed yet, Redditor BigAlSmoker shared an image of an awesome Translucent 25th Anniversary Armour for the Master Chief.
This armour is inspired by the original green Xbox translucent console, which launched in 2003 and, in turn, inspired the gorgeous translucent green Xbox Series X/S console coming in November 2026. Details on how to claim the translucent armour in Halo: Campaign Evolved will be revealed sometime soon. So, it might be worth keeping tabs on the Halo social media accounts for when that information drops.
“If this is the standard going forward, Halo might well and truly be back, and I’m already hungry for a remake of Halo 2 next,” said GAMINGbible’s Sam in his review. “I still think it’s a shame that we had to go all the way back to the beginning to get a truly excellent Halo game, but Halo: Campaign Evolved does give me hope for the future of this franchise.”
Outside of the early access launch, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available on July 28 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
