Grand Theft Auto fans are angry with Rockstar Games after intense rumours gathered for the hugely anticipated GTA 6 Trailer 3.
It pretty much goes without saying that when it comes to highly anticipated games, it doesn't get much hotter than GTA 6. After all, the Rockstar Games series is one of the biggest properties in all of entertainment.
The Grand Theft Auto series had humble, top-down beginnings on the original PlayStation and PC in the 90s. However, when GTA III was released on the PS2 in 2001, it not only dawned a new era for the series but it set the new standard of what the industry expects from an open-world action game.
From that moment on, GTA became one of the biggest video game franchises on the planet, and it didn't get much bigger than GTA V, which was originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, before being ported to every console generation since.

Now, fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of GTA VI next year and today, many of those fans were hoping that its third trailer would be dropped. Sadly, that never came to be.
Like me, fellow fans probably have notifications set for when Rockstar Games posts something new on Twitter and when I received today’s notification at 15:16, I hoped it would be for GTA VI.

The notification was to let us know about the latest ‘Trader Bonuses’ event for Red Dead Online. Don’t get me wrong, I love Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s one of my favourite games of all time. Sadly, for me at least, news of the latest RDO event was a bit underwhelming.
“Adding GTA+ to the GTA VI store page and then posting about RDO 17 minutes later than usual is DIABOLICAL,” replied a dejected GameRoll, while sharing an image of Phenomaman from the new video game, Dispatch.
“IT HURTS,” yelled TGGonYT, sharing a gif of Beavis from the comedy animation, Beavis and Butthead, after being kicked in the groin.
“Everyone expecting GTA VI is crying right now,” declared SynthPotato.

“Bro, we've been skinning animals for almost 10 years. No one needs trader bonuses. Make an expansion for **** sake,” exclaimed Tetsuro, wanting a Red Dead Redemption 2 expansion.
“Until next time,” said v_rossignolli.
At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI has a release date of 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Of course, when that third trailer drops, we’ll update you right away.
