GTA 6 trailer 2 has left fans heartbroken as 2024 comes to an end

These poor folks have successfully gaslit themselves into feeling sad about something that was never coming

The Grand Theft Auto VI community has finally moved out of the bargaining stage and into the depression stage, as we’ve finally crossed the 378 day threshold in between GTA VI’s first trailer and… its lack of a second trailer.

To explain why that 378 day timeframe is significant, I want to guide you over to a thread on the r/GTA6 subreddit titled “it's probably just in 2025 at this point.”

As you can see from the main image in the thread, the Grand Theft Auto VI community had managed to gaslight themselves into thinking that, just as with Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games would definitely release the second trailer for the game some time around, um, yesterday.

Now you can probably tell that this mythical second trailer never came to pass, based solely on the fact that the internet hasn’t gone into a collective meltdown at any point in the last 24 hours.

Something about this milestone being passed seems to have truly, finally broken the spirit of the GTA VI community though, because all of the comments in this thread have a proper defeatist vibe to them.

“I'm just gonna expect a 2026 release,” commented user JoeyGrease, “I have a feeling that I shouldn't get my hopes up for Fall 2025.”

“I think Jason Schrier was right when he said that the game could slip into 2026,” replied user FireTyphoon123.

That last comment is especially telling of the community’s headspace right now, as it references the news from last week that industry veteran Jason Schreier believes that GTA VI will be delayed into 2026.

Come on, guys. You’ve been making up theories about the moon and fastidiously studying all the trailers for the Grand Theft Auto V online content for clues, but this is where you give up?

That’s not the r/GTA6 I know. Nothing ever deters you lot. What about a Christmas trailer? There’s some hope to hold onto, right?

I like Red Dead Redemption 2 for the most part, but this feature would annoy me so much if they brought it back for GTA VI.
