GTA VI will have sex scenes, which will come as no surprise to those familiar with the series, but there is one important caveat.
If you’re familiar with Rockstar Games’ ever-popular Grand Theft Auto series, then you’ll know that most of its titles involve coïtus in one form or another. Yes, that’s right, I just used the word coïtus.
For example, in 2001’s GTA III, Claude, the main character of the game, could pay sex workers for their services. Which, in turn, probably resulted in you beating up the proprietor of that service to receive a very harshly earned refund.
Perhaps most famously, the ‘Hot Coffee’ mini-game in GTA: San Andreas is the most detailed of sexual interactions in the Grand Theft Auto series. Before that point, and after, you’d never actually see the kinky shenanigans.

However, ‘Hot Coffee’ never made it into GTA: San Andreas, at least officially, because the developers at Rockstar Games decided not to ship it in the full release. Yet, with modders being as talented as they are, they found a way to access it.
The next entry in the series, GTA VI, is set to arrive next year, with its story centred on two characters, Jason and Lucia, who are said to be inspired by the historic crime duo Bonnie and Clyde.
“Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads the synopsis of GTA VI.
“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

So, with all that in mind, it should come as no surprise whatsoever that sex scenes, to an extent, are returning in GTA VI, but what is that important caveat, I hear you ask?
As brought to our attention by Reddit user TheEternalGazed (via GameRoll), sex scenes will be in GTA VI, but they will not feature fully nude scenes. Which, depending on your tastes, may or may not disappoint you.
"Game ruined. I don't want it anymore,” joked Careless-Freedom6468.
“Boooo,” exclaimed Durin1987_12_30.

“We can’t show the human body in our ultra-violent 18+ satire, that’s a step too far,” declared a sarcastic Imaybetoooldforthis.
Assuming Grand Theft Auto VI suffers no further delay, it will release on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The inevitable PC port hasn't been announced yet.
