Yesterday saw Rockstar make an exciting announcement.
No, it isn’t that Grand Theft Auto VI has been un-delayed and will be releasing tomorrow but it is still some exciting news, at least for those who live in the areas affected.
After 12 whole years, Rockstar has finally announced that Grand Theft Auto V will launch in the Middle East, more specifically Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, on 17 July.
It will arrive on the PlayStation 5 but will come with a 21+ age rating.

The announcement came courtesy of the General Authority of Media Regulation in Saudi Arabia that took to social media to reveal that both Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online have officially been rated by the organisation.
As a result, the games will be available to play in the region from 17 July onwards and this announcement was also confirmed on the official PlayStation Middle East Twitter account.
So in just a few weeks, players in this region will be able to experience Grand Theft Auto V for the first time on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. If they are of a suitable age, of course.
Of course, many fans in the Middle East have been able to play up until now, even if getting a copy of the game has been as the result of imported copies but this will be the first time that they can experience the game without any restrictions.

The bad news is that they now have just a few months to enjoy GTA V before the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on 26 May 2026.
That is if it is not delayed in Saudi Arabia and the UAE again.
However, with tons of content in both the base game and GTA Online, this “new” release will definitely keep them busy in the meantime.
