GTA 6 release date just slipped even further away

What I’m about to say will come as no surprise. A Grand Theft Auto VI trailer still has not arrived. So-called insiders were convinced that Rockstar would drop it last week, but that week has come and gone and we remain just as in the dark.

In case you missed all the antics, this all began when one insider claimed that GTA VI would be revealed on 26 October, adding that they were willing to risk their credibility because they were so confident. A bunch of other insiders then followed suit, promising a trailer “soon”. Rockstar didn’t help the building hype seeing as they uploaded a private video towards the beginning of last week. Many assumed this to be the trailer but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Rockstar has revealed absolutely nothing - and so, the wait continues. No one knows when GTA VI will be unveiled, although that hasn’t stopped insiders from once again teasing ‘news’ of a delayed reveal.

Take a look at this Vice City remaster mod.

As spotted by Reddit user RojaTop, supposed insider LegacyKillaHD has said that Rockstar will not reveal GTA VI this year. They wrote, “Some devs may want an announcement but I know some don’t. As far as I understand, still a lot of work to do and an announcement with an inevitable release window just adds pressure.”

I’d advise you all to take this latest tidbit with an enormous pinch of salt. As we’ve proved with last week’s ‘reveal’ debacle, while there are some legitimate insiders with sources, there are also plenty more clout chasers. You know the kind I mean. They’ll shout a vague promise into the void and then scream ‘I told you so’ when something predictably inevitable happens.

All we know is that Rockstar will reveal GTA VI when it's ready - and that’s what we, as fans, want. We want the game to be in a solid state, and we want devs to reveal it when a release date can be committed to, so I guess a little more patience is needed.
