Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed for a second time.
Originally due to land now, in autumn 2025, the game was previously delayed to 26 May 2026 with Rockstar quickly following up with the game’s second trailer.
The highly anticipated title will now arrive on 18 November 2026, six months after its pre-existing release date and an entire year after its original release window.
It’s a far cry from the third trailer or opening of pre-orders fans were expecting to receive in recent days.

Ahead of Take-Two Interactive’s latest earnings call, fans anticipated Rockstar Games officially announcing the arrival of pre-orders as opposed to a delay announcement.
It was amidst this hype that GAMINGbible located a seemingly bogus GTA VI pre-order available on Amazon.
“GTA 6 (Pre-order) for PS5 - Be First to Play”, the listing was titled showing a mock-up of a physical PS5 game with GTA VI’s key art.
The game was listed in the ‘Home & Kitchen’ region of Amazon and was not in any way attributed to Rockstar Games.
Whilst the listing was “unavailable” to purchase when viewed by GAMINGbible, it was still visible online.
During our investigation into the title, we discovered reports that the “unavailable” listing was previously linked to a scam.
Users of Amazon in the United Arab Emirates had previously taken to Reddit where a screenshot seemingly showed that the listing had been live prior with an attached price tag of 949 AED.
This roughly equates to £197 or $258.
“It’s a scam, you can’t pre-order on Amazon to begin with, in Amazon’s eyes it’s a digital product. The guy selling can send you a random link and mark you as delivered,” one comment on the Reddit post read.
What has Amazon said?
GAMINGbible contacted Amazon, bringing the listing to light for fear the scam may go live again.
In an exclusive statement, an Amazon spokesperson said, “Amazon has a zero tolerance policy for counterfeit and IP infringing products. We have proactive measures in place to prevent counterfeit products from being listed and continuously monitor our store.”
“If we identify an issue, we act quickly to protect customers and brands, including removing counterfeit listings and blocking accounts. This product has been removed,” it concluded.
While it’s now likely going to be a while until GTA VI pre-orders do surface following a delay, it’s perhaps worth reiterating that it’s only safe to place a pre-order when they are officially announced by Rockstar Games.
Any listing promising early access could put you at risk.
