Rumours surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI are ramping up in recent weeks which is perhaps unsurprising considering the highly-anticipated title is expected to launch in just a few months.

From potential PC release dates to a console release date that has been staring us in the face for over a decade, fans are going wild in the last few months leading up to Grand Theft Auto VI’s launch.

However, as exciting as it is that GTA VI will be releasing, it is also worth remembering that it will also launch alongside its Grand Theft Auto Online component and a recent rumour has hinted at some potential collaborations.

According to a report by Digiday and videotechuk_, Rockstar Games has had meetings with large Fortnite UEFN and Roblox creators to discuss creator-made games in GTA 6.

As a result, players may be able to create custom experiences in GTA Online.

Despite Rockstar having worked on updates for GTA 5 Online to this day, having a bit more creative freedom is never something that fans would complain about so maybe this is a good step for the studio to take.

As you can imagine, the news soon sparked a discussion with almost 200 people sharing their thoughts.

MrUltraOnReddit wrote, “I think R* realised that, if they want to keep GTA 6 Online alive for even longer than 5 Online, they need a way to give players more content without using actual R* resources to create it themselves.

Most of 5's updates are good, but I feel like the quality declined over the years, probably just because they have less and less people working on it.

5 Online already has a rudimentary mission creator, but if they give the players even more power to create actual good, in depth content themselves, they save a lot of work in the long run.”

Aegontheholy added, “Probably has something to do with the acquisition of FiveM.

SixM could very well be like what Roblox/UEFN is. Players would be able to create experiences with Rockstar’s own custom built engine without having any modding experience.”

With other players already brainstorming ideas such as Squid Game, Battle Royale, and Zombie Survival modes, it seems as though this was the correct choice for Rockstar.

If the rumours are true, of course.
