GTA 6 minigames shown off in new trailer, and we have so much to do

Touching grass is overrated, anyway

Judging by the glorious second trailer for GTA VI, it looks like there’s going to be so much to do in Vice City and beyond.

Pretty much with any game in the Grand Theft Auto series, there’s plenty of fun content to keep you busy aside from the main story campaign, whether it’s the likes of GTA III, GTA: San Andreas or GTA V.

Check out the second GTA VI trailer below!

When it comes to side activities, my favourite has to be GTA: San Andreas, whether it’s building up CJ at the gym (or going on a diet), learning to fly a plane or going on a hot coffee date. For its time in 2004, GTA: San Andreas was a technical marvel.

That being said, you can pretty much consider all GTA entries from Rockstar Games as technical marvels, because each set a new genre standard for open-worlds, and it looks like GTA VI will be no exception.

At the time of writing, the second GTA VI trailer on YouTube has well over 105 million views (and counting) since it was published on 6 May 2025. During that nearly three-minute trailer, there is so much to consume and loads of content that can easily be missed.

Thankfully, the eagle-eyed Redditor BlackChamber007 has picked out some of the minigames that it looks like we can partake in within GTA VI. Those minigames from the trailer alone include:

  • Beach (American) football
  • Cage fighting
  • Dancing
  • Dirt bike racing
  • Fishing
  • Hunting
  • Kayaking
  • Mini golf
  • Pool/billiards
  • Scuba diving
  • Strip club
  • Tennis

Sure, some of those activities have returned from previous games, such as dirt bike racing, hunting, scuba diving and tennis, but it’s still great to see them nonetheless, alongside some new additions (many of which haven't been revealed yet).

“There is racing and also dice games in the leaks, so it’s not far fetched to say poker and gambling in general are in the game as well,” replied Abvk0 with arrthur1 adding, “Oh man, I want poker so bad. I spent hours playing poker in saloons in Red Dead Redemption.”

“I really hope there's surfing as well as paddling, and whatnot,” said a hopeful Rex_Digsdale.

“Just because NPCs are doing it doesn’t mean the player can,” exclaimed Phoenixskull295, attempting to extinguish the hype.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar Games hasn’t announced the PC version yet.
