GTA 6 leak teases San Andreas-style gang wars

The latest Grand Theft Auto 6 leak teases the return of San Andreas-style gang wars.

You know the drill by now. We may still be without a full Grand Theft Auto VI reveal, but we do have a fresh leak.

October has come and gone - and it certainly didn’t bring a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer with it, despite the assurance of a wide array of so-called insiders. Many popped up assuring fans that we’d receive a trailer on or around 26 October and admittedly, Rockstar Games did add fuel to the fire when a private video appeared on the company’s website. A trailer is yet to materialise though and insiders are now claiming that a reveal won’t come until next Spring. We know that Rockstar is planning to launch the game in 2024 or 2025 so I’d just advise you all to hang tight. A reveal will be here before we know it. In the meantime, a fresh leak is teasing that the game will feature San Andreas-style gang wars.

Take a look at this incredible Vice City remaster mod - which just so happens to be the rumoured setting of GTA VI.

The leak was posted by Reddit user Tobbelobben30. It covers a lot about the game but I want to specifically zoom in on a section subtitled ‘Factions’. The OP wrote, “Suggests the expansion of the faction system from GTA San Andreas, making gang wars, alliances, and territorial conflicts more central to the game’s narrative.” This would certainly be a welcomed development - and one that seems to be characteristically fitting of GTA VI.

Through the various leaks, it sounds as if GTA VI is set to improve upon and push a number of systems and technologies that we’ve seen in previous Rockstar Games releases. Outside of this faction news, we’ve heard that GTA VI will build upon Red Dead Redemption 2’s ageing system. We should also expect to see major changes made to the game’s wanted system according to another leak, with players now having much more autonomy over how easily recognised they will be by the law.

Fans are excited by the thought of expanded factions. “The factions thing, IF it is implemented, I will be f**king excited. As we said before, this game could be the most diverse. The amount of mechanics and the complexity of each … It's just nonsense. I can only hope the best for this game,” read one comment. Come on Rockstar. Don’t let us down.
