GTA 6 Hype Returns, Potential Trailer 3 Launch Window is Spotted

Grand Theft Auto VI is still waiting on its third trailer but we think we know when it’s dropping, and it’s going to be a massive payday for Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.

Trailers are intended to build hype within an audience but I don’t think any of us can be more excited about GTA VI even if we tried.

Rockstar Games have put out banger after banger and even people who don’t play video games know how popular the Grand Theft Auto series is.

So in that case we don’t really need a third trailer for the game but we definitely want one, and it’s looking more and more like January/February 2026 will be when we get it.

Take-Two Interactive is Rockstar’s parent-company and its financial information has been crucial in predicting when GTA VI news is on the way.

New Year, New Trailer

Taking a look at its earnings you’ll see that revenue has been steadily rising throughout the year, and the next chunk of data we’re getting drops in February.

This makes the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026 the perfect window to drop the third trailer for GTA VI, and open preorders provided Rockstar Games is confident in its November 2026 release date.

So far the game has been delayed a total of three times and while we don’t anticipate a fourth we should be ready for anything.

Provided that polishing and bug fixing is going smoothly though it seems likely the next Grand Theft Auto game is secure in its next release goal, which means Take-Two Interactive will be eager to see those preorders open for more revenue.

We know the trailer won’t drop during The Game Awards next month because Rockstar tends to prefer its own channels when it comes to promotional content, and it would only seem fitting to kick off the New Year with a new trailer for its most anticipated game.

Preorder announcement?

Of course take this with a pinch of salt as it’s pure speculation but the clock is ticking, and while GTA VI doesn’t necessarily need marketing in the same way other games do, preorders will need to be announced at some point, and maybe even a first-look at the new GTA: Online.

So we’ve still got a bit of a wait ahead of us but it’ll surely be worth it.

Now’s the time to start getting hyped, as we’re less than two months away till 2026 and another year of great gaming.
