GTA 6 Official Gameplay Reveal 'Seriously Next Level', Gamers Agree

Cool guys don't look at explosions

Ever since GTA VI got its first reveal trailer, fans have been speculating on the specifics of the game and what exactly it's going to be like to play. The second trailer only furthered that, with half of that video supposedly being made up of actual gameplay footage.

The issue there was that we didn't know which bits were gameplay and which were pre-constructed cinematic clips. Whilst that bodes extremely well for the quality of the final product, it did leave players with more questions than answers when it comes to the gameplay experience.

Over on Reddit, one fan asked the community to name one bit of the second trailer that they definitely believe to be gameplay, and the responses didn't disappoint.

One player immediately posited the scene with Lucia blowing up cars, which caused a lot of excitement in the responses if that is the case. "If that’s so then the explosions in this is game is gonna be very impressive. It was very improved in the enhanced version of GTA V but that's seriously next level," one read.

After that, everyone was key to weigh in with their own picks for gameplay segments, and exactly why they are so excited for the final product.

"When he slaps the dude his facial expression and just the scene overall just screams gameplay to me, just a single slap to intimidate this dude and show us (the players) a new mechanic," one read.

Another added, "The scene with Jason driving down the freeway in first person perspective is 100% from a gameplay segment. You can see the pickup truck hauling the Seashark do that weird jerk to the side some cars in GTA V sometimes do."

Others chose to forego that conversation entirely to just talk about how they excited they are, with one saying, "I seriously can’t wait any longer. I’m praying it doesn’t get delayed again."

With GTA VI set to (finally) arrive in May 2026, the world will finally be able to see what Rockstar has been cooking up over all these years. Between now and then, we will likely get to see some more gameplay in the form of a third trailer, but the developer has kept the game locked under such a tight key that they may well leave most of it as a mystery, right up until launch day itself.

Let's hope they don't disappoint.
