It looks like GTA 6 already has a bunch of free downloads lined up for it.
We’re ten months away from the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, and it’s pretty much expected that Rockstar Games will be frequently supporting the game with regular updates and DLC, particularly its online component.
GTA 6 Online will likely have a lot of new free missions, cars, and other collectibles to grab over the years following the game’s release, and we may have just had our first teaser as to how that will look.
In an interview with MeinMMO, Twitch Chief Monetization Officer Mike Minton revealed that the company is working with Rockstar to prepare for the launch of GTA 6, calling it "the biggest game of our lives".

Minton says that "the focus will be on the single-player campaign" at launch, which makes sense as Rockstar has launched the multiplayer components for its last two games (Red Dead Online and GTA Online) some time after release.
However, he then says that "there will probably be a cycle around the online multiplayer at some point later, which will be an even more important segment in the life cycle of this game on Twitch because that’s where the magic begins to happen."
The obvious route for this is Twitch Drops, which allows viewers to unlock in-game items for the game they’re watching being streamed.
For example, watching 30 minutes of a GTA 5 stream could result in unlocking an exclusive clothing item for your character, and then watching for another 30 minutes could reward you with some in-game cash.

Minton has also teased that this could mean other kinds of activations though, such as Twitch-exclusive roleplay servers that get viewers involved with the streamer.
"And hopefully, as you say, roleplaying will be available, whether through the necessary mod support or direct support from the developers if they choose to go that route. I don’t know."
Roleplaying servers are one of the most popular kinds of servers in GTA Online, so it would make sense for Rockstar and Twitch to capitalise on this.
As the wait for GTA 6 continues, we’ll wait and see just how services like Twitch will support the launch of the game for players.
