GTA VI has yet to be officially announced (though it could happen any second now), but we already know an awful lot more than we perhaps should about the next instalment.

One of the worst-kept secrets about the game? GTA VI features two protagonists, and one of them is the first female playable character in the entire series. That only took 25 years.

Here's everything we know about GTA VI (so far)!

We all know GTA VI is in development, and that it's probably coming no later than March 2025. Footage of an early build was plastered all over the internet last year, and while an official reveal is finally coming this month, those leaks have done a lot of revealing already.

Of the many, many things leakers uncovered, perhaps the most exciting is that GTA VI's female protagonist is a character called Lucia. Exactly what she's like and if she'll be able to stand up alongside other Rockstar protagonists like Arthur Morgan and Tommy Vercetti remains to be seen, but I'm keen to find out.

Some of the more talented fans out there are so excited to meet Lucia that they've been putting together their own concept art and unofficial renderings based on the leaks. Given these leaks have now been scrubbed from the internet, these fan videos are pretty much your best way to get to know Lucia ahead of the official reveal.

One of the best Lucia renders, which you can see here, already has fans obsessed with the first-ever GTA female lead.

"If I were to buy GTA VI when it comes out you bet I’ll be playing as Lucia," wrote one fan. "I’ve been asking for a female playable character in a GTA game for many years. It’s finally happening."

Another added: "I hope that after all these years that we have waited for GTA VI, the details and realism of the characters will be at this level."

Given Rockstar's talent for writing complex, believable characters, I'd imagine Lucia will soon be a fan favourite when GTA VI finally releases.
