GTA VI’s second trailer was a record-breaker, as expected, and now the wait begins for the third trailer.
God knows when that’ll be though if the game has been delayed to May 2026, as it’s doubtful Rockstar Games will just throw out trailers until its new release date.
The second trailer itself felt more like a peace offering than something that was planned in advance…
The wait continues, and while fans are indeed disappointed that GTA VI isn’t coming out this year, many have been excitedly picking through that new footage, with others finding more creative uses for it.

Reddit user ThatGuyNamedNy posted a video to the subreddit that combines both trailers together, giving us a true sense as to the enormity of Rockstar’s upcoming open-world adventure.
It splices together some of the gorgeous landscape shots seen in the first trailer with the more character-led moments of the second, and it’s very, very well made.
“As schitzo as this community can be, sometimes it can also be so creative” read one of the comments, a wholesome addition to an otherwise chaotic subreddit…
“Good job merging those scenes, especially the cop one. body cam and then third person” said another.

While the second trailer was exceptional, and delivered at just the right time, it did lack some proper gameplay.
Rockstar Games has commented to say the trailer was composed of both cinematic cutscenes and gameplay footage, but it didn’t really feel like actual gameplay, possibly just a testament to the quality in Rockstar’s work.
Hopefully the next look at the game yields something more conclusive, but there are murmurs that May 2026 might not be the game’s actual release date, and another delay is more than possible…
Hopefully that’s not the case, but if it I’m sure the community will be perfectly understanding and reasonable about it.
