Buckle up because another GTA VI theory has just dropped.

The lack of GTA VI details isn’t news anymore, though fans would agree that it’s beyond infuriating.

Although gameplay leaks are keeping the community ticking over, it’s not the same as being able to feast their eyes on a second trailer.

Heck, more in-game screenshots would placate gamers right now.

This latest theory doesn’t claim that the second trailer is imminent, nor that more images will be released. However, what’s suggested is that after 30 January we won’t have to wait much longer for a release date to be revealed.

User Arvosss is behind this theory, which they themselves admit comes from having “too much free time”.

According to their “research”, Thursday 30 Jan is when the launch date will be announced if there are no delays.

Should no announcement come, then you can be sure that GTA VI will be delayed, though the OP isn’t certain for how long.

They’ve come to this conclusion by delving into the history of previous Rockstar Games releases.

As the OP explained, there have been two instances when Take-Two Interactive’s third quarter earning call has revealed the launch date: in 2013 and 2018.

Of course, in 2018 Red Dead Redemption 2 ended up being delayed, which you would think would damage this theory not strengthen it.

However, that delay was announced one day before an earnings call.

“We’re 99% sure to get a release date or delay announcement before February 6,” the same post claimed.

It’s a better theory than those that have gone before, as several fans have mentioned in the comments.

Still, the majority don’t see the point in getting their hopes up.

“The earnings call will just say Fall 2025 as it’s always had [sic]. Nothing is going to happen on Thursday don’t set yourself up,” responded SupremeBlackGuy.

They might be right, of course, but we’re so desperate for GTA VI that we’ll cling to what little hope we have left.
