The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster for fans of Grand Theft Auto, what with the delay of GTA VI, then the second trailer for the game dropping just a few days after.

Sometimes, it feels like Rockstar Games is toying with our emotions, pushing and pulling us in a war of hype and disappointment.

On the one hand, we’re getting excited for GTA VI with new footage, on the other, we’ve got to wait another year.

However, this does give us time to dive back into GTA V instead, and spend many hours causing havoc online with friends and family.

Enter Rockstar’s social media team, who are bringing news of an update to GTA Online, giving players a boost while tackling a string of missions centred around the superyacht missions.

Starting now, you’ll get 2X GTA$ and RP on any Superyacht Life missions, and if you complete the weekly challenge, you’ll net yourself GTA$100,000.

On top of this, you’ll get 3X on Taxi Work fares, 2X GTA$ and RP on Tiny Racers.

Double rewards on shipwrecks are also on offer, bringing so many reasons to return to the online world of GTA.

This is a big push to get players back, and entice them with goodies to redeem, or rewards to chase, and if you’re looking for any reason to commit virtual crimes, this is as good a time as any.

If you’re yearning for adventure on the seas, all yachts and boats are discounted currently, meaning you can join in even if your funds are a little low.

Hopefully, this will keep fans entertained, and maybe a little distracted, while Rockstar Games adds those extra layers of polish to the blockbuster we’re all eager to get our hands on.

2026 can’t come fast enough, but for now, we’ll settle for crimes on the waves.
