With the highly anticipated arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI being on the way, GTA V fans can enjoy a GTA VI-inspired free update to help get into the spirit of things.

Following years of rumours and leaks, Rockstar Games finally revealed the first official trailer for GTA VI and it did not disappoint. Within days, the GTA VI trailer uploaded to the Rockstar Games YouTube channel was smashing records as its total views crept closer to 200 million.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest money-makers in the entertainment industry in large part due to its free events in GTA Online. These free events bring new missions, fancy cars, cosmetics, bonus RP, loads of in-game currency to acquire and much more.

In turn, these free events in GTA Online inspire its devoted community to spend real-world money on its in-game currency Shark Cards. It’s a great money-making scheme implemented by Rockstar Games which is why it's been milking that cow since 2013.

One of the locations that we know for sure will feature in GTA VI is the Miami-inspired Vice City, a place that Rockstar Games introduced us to in 2002 with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. So if you want to get into the Vice City spirit, then the latest GTA Online event could be for you.

This weekend, Max Verstappen looks to further cement his place at the top of the 2024 F1 Driver Standings table and take one step closer to claiming glory with a win during the Grand Prix this weekend with over 57 gruelling laps of the Miami International Autodrome.

So in the spirit of F1 and GTA’s Vice City, you can partake in the F1-inspired Open Wheel Races event. For the next week, you’ll be able to race at high speeds against other GTA competitors online as you earn triple GTA$ and RP.

Moreover, if you win three Open Wheel Races to complete a weekly challenge, you’ll not only be rewarded with a bonus GTA$100,000 but also an exclusive Rockstar Racing Suit. Happy days!

GTA V and GTA Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. As for GTA VI, it’s currently scheduled to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
