Chadwick Boseman was a real-life hero to many. The actor who portrayed T'Challa in Black Panther and the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe was an inspiration to comic book fans all over the world. Sadly, he passed away in 2020 after a battle with cancer, and ever since his fans have mourned his absence and the loss of such an important individual in the film series.
Though Boseman will not be present in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, his last performance as T'Challa is still yet to come in What If...?, a Disney Plus show that is just around the corner. What If...? will be an exploration into the MCU's heroes if their fates had been different. What if Tony Stark was saved by Killmonger? What if Peggy Carter went on to become a super-soldier, Captain Carter? And importantly, what if T'Challa replaced Star-Lord as an interstellar ravager?

Well What If...? aims to answer all those questions and more, and it is the final time Marvel fans will see Chadwick Boseman in the MCU. The new trailer for the animated series gives us just a little of his voice as he plays this alternate-universe version of T'Challa, but he still has his charming personality. Honestly, this is going to be a really emotional experience by the end.

What If...? will be 10 episodes long and feature many of the names you know from the MCU already, but with a few extras here and there. Seth Green will be taking on the role of Howard the Duck, and Jeffrey Wright will play The Watcher, an intimidating extraterrestrial force who oversees universe-altering events and may or may not intervene.
The series is set to release on August 11, 2021, and we can't wait to start asking What If...? with you all, then.
