Want to explore London without any of the hassle of actually travelling to London? Ubisoft has you covered. This weekend, the UK-centric Watch Dogs: Legion will be free to play. Yep, from March 25 to March 29, you can bag yourself an entirely free trial of the latest Watch Dogs game via Xbox and PlayStation systems, the Epic Games Store, and the Ubisoft store.

It's worth noting that as this is just a trial weekend, you won't be able to avail yourself of all the content Watch Dogs: Legion has to offer. While you can recruit and play as any of the game's many, many NPCs, but you'll only be able to explore about half of the game's open-world London. Four of the eight boroughs will be available to you, including the City of London and Islington & Hackney. You can also play through the game's story up to the Skye Larsen mission, so plenty to sink your teeth into. Oh, and all game progression will carry over to the full game upon purchase, should you decide to take the plunge.

You don't need to worry about wasting your precious weekend window downloading the game either. You can pre-download your free trial from today so that it's ready to roll by tomorrow. That's for PlayStation systems and PC, anyway. Pre-load won't be available on Xbox systems, for some reason.

To further tempt you into making the game yours on a more permanent basis, Watch Dogs: Legion will also be available for 50% off for a limited time. While I wouldn't recommend this latest Watch Dogs adventure to everyone, I'd definitely say it's worth checking out the free trial and screwing around London for a little bit. The game certainly isn't without it's problems, but the open world is a ton of fun to explore. Who knows, by the end of the weekend you might genuinely be left wanting more.
