A juiced-up goose with nothing to lose.

Untitled Goose Game, the new indie darling from developer House House in which your one and only goal is to terrify a sleepy Egnlish village as an unusually vindictive goose hasn't even been out for a week, and yet one particularly dedicated avian ally has already honked, flapped, and waddled his way to the finish line in an incredible three minutes and 46 seconds - a current world record.

To be clear, Untitled Goose Game isn't the longest game around. In my own review I lamented that the fun was over far too soon, and that you could see everything the game had to offer within two hours, maximum. With that in mind, I knew it'd be possible to get through the game and see the credits within 20 minutes or so, but under four minutes? When I heard about this (via PC Gamer), I had to check it out for myself to see just how in the world it was done.

As suspected, the four minute goosestep isn't a "traditional" playthrough, but an any% run in which Twitch streamer Sejiouf relies on a few glitches to clip through fences and barriers so that he can reach the final area in record time. As you may know, getting access to each of the game's areas via normal means relies on you completing a set number of objectives, which would literally be impossible to do in anything less than 15-20 minutes. I assume so, anyway. I imagine someone will prove me wrong before Christmas.

Anyway, check out the run for yourself below - just be aware of spoilers.I mean, I guess a game in which you play as a mean goose can't really be spoiled that much, but I will say that the final gag before the credits roll is worth discovering for yourself.

If you've to sample the delights of Untitled Goose Game, I do have to thoroughly recommend it. Despite its disappointing length, I was more than happy to slap a 9/10 on the thing simply because the content that is there is so well designed, so inventive, and so damn entertaining that's impossible not to fall in love with it. I also remain confident that House House will eventually put out some DLC for it, because the studio has built a rock solid foundation on which to build further goose-related misadventures.

If nothing else, right now you can chase around some annoying kid until he falls over in the dirt allowing you to steal his glasses, so that's GOTY material right there.
