The upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ TV show is in production and these leaked images allege that this is what actor Hayden Christensen will look like as the newly transformed Darth Vader.

Originally intended to be a spin off film, the six episode series will delve into the emotions of loss and grief as its central character comes to terms with how far the galaxy has fallen after the events of Revenge of the Sith. As well as Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader along with Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars and Bonnie Piesse as Beru Whitesun Lars.

Moreover, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend and others are attached to the show in unannounced roles, though we've got an inkling that Varma will be a Sith Inquisitor seeking out the survivors of Order 66. Naturally, details are being kept under lock and key by Disney and we spotted Ewan McGregor in costume earlier this summer. And now, these images shared by Star Wars News Net claim to show us what Darth Vader will look like in the show.

Obi-Wan, Anakin and Darth Vader are returning to another stage in early 2022, namely Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. In this new trailer, we got to see epic blaster battles, silly Easter eggs and a gorgeous open world - check it out below!

The kicker here is that Christensen is returning to the role of Darth Vader, not Anakin Skywalker. In the original trilogy, it didn't matter much who it was under the mask as it was James Earl Jones' voice providing us with the performance of an indomitable and ruthless villain. Ergo, it's likely that Darth Vader will be seen without his mask in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show.

This concept art offers us some insight as to what he will look like and I'll say that he is the very definition of "under the weather." His skin is pale and deathlike with a harness supporting the weight of his torso. He's also wearing a ventilator and another version of the breathing apparatus is seen in this image.

There's also an enormous bacta tank that might be used by Darth Vader as a life support and meditation zone at one point in the show. It's worth pointing out that this concept art is not confirmed to be official or from Lucasfilm, so we'd be wise to take this with a pinch of salt. However, if the show is also planning to explore the conflict and sadness of Darth Vader as well as its central character, that could be something that humanises one of the most iconic villains from the silver screen.
